The VTCT Level 4 IQA is a nationally recognised qualification for professionals responsible for the quality assurance of vocational course assessments across the UK. While RJL Education specialises in hair and beauty, this Level 4 qualification equips you with the skills to ensure standards are met in any subject area where you hold a recognised NVQ Level 3 and assessor qualification.

What You’ll Learn:

  • How to maintain and improve the quality of assessment practices within vocational courses
  • Techniques to plan, monitor, and evaluate assessment processes effectively
  • How to support assessors and learners while ensuring compliance with national standards
  • Skills to implement and monitor quality assurance systems within your organisation.

Course Structure:

  • Duration: 8 weeks
  • Delivery: 1 day per week, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, at our Bolton training centre
  • VTCT registration fee included
  • Practical, hands-on training ensures you gain real-world experience in quality assurance

This course is ideal for professionals looking to progress into leadership, management, or specialist QA roles, and forms a critical step in building a career in vocational education and training.

Our VTCT Level 4 course runs between 10am – 1pm for 4 weeks.

How is the course assessed?

Assessment for this course is carried out through a combination of written assignments and practical IQA experience. Trainees are required to monitor an assessor assessing two NVQ learners, providing evidence of effective quality assurance in practice. You will also receive guidance on building a comprehensive portfolio of evidence, suitable for both internal and external verification.

You must be age 18 and above, hold an NVQ Level 3, and have completed a VTCT Level 3 Assessors (A1) course.
