The VTCT Level 3 Education and Training course replaces the former PTTLS qualification and certifies you to teach to a nationally recognised standard. It meets the requirements set by awarding and accrediting bodies to create, deliver, and accredit your own hair or beauty courses, ensuring you are fully insured to provide professional training.

Course details:

  • 1 day per week, over 8 weeks at our Bolton training centre
  • Access to hotel accommodation at low rates
  • Optional combined package: complete this qualification alongside your Assessor Qualification for £1,400 over 10 weeks
  • 13th January
  • 11th March

Course time: 10.00am - 2.00pm
  • Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training
  • Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training
  • Understanding assessment in education

You’ll also receive guidance on how to build a portfolio of evidence suitable for both internal and external assessors.

Assessment process:

  • RJL Education will assess your work upon completion of each unit.
  • The overall work will then be internally quality assured (IQA).
  • Once the IQA has marked your portfolio as satisfactory, a VTCT External Quality Assurer (EQA) will review and assess the IQA’s observations to ensure it meets the required standards.

No kit is provided on this course. A laptop or Ipad will be required to complete coursework.

You must hold a minimum level 3 qualification in your chosen sector to teach, whether it be hairdressing, barbering, nails or beauty therapy. You must also be over 16
