This comprehensive bundle equips learners with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to assess NVQ learners and deliver vocational training within the hair and beauty industry. By completing both the Assessing Vocational Achievement (A1) and the VTCT Level 3 Award in Education and Training, you’ll be fully prepared to take on professional assessor and educator roles.

Course Highlights:

  • Learn to plan, deliver, observe, and assess NVQ learners effectively.
  • Develop the ability to deliver engaging teaching sessions, support learner progress, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Gain practical experience assessing students throughout the year on live NVQ courses.
  • Blended delivery: some sessions can be attended remotely, with all assessments completed at our Bolton education centre.
  • VTCT registration fees included.

Our VTCT Level 3 course runs between 10am – 2pm over 8 weeks.

Assessing The Vocational Achievement Award (A1) VTCT Level 3

  • Understanding the principles of assessment
  • Assess occupational competence in the work environment
  • Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding

You’ll also be guided on how to build a portfolio of evidence for both internal and external assessors.

The qualification is delivered through various workshops one day a week over a 8 week period. You will be assessed by assessing other assessors and 2 learners. As courses run regularly at our academy, you won’t need to source your own assessing opportunities or placements.

Understanding roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training

  • Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training
  • Understanding assessment in education

You’ll also be guided on how to build a portfolio of evidence for both internal and external assessors.

Info required RJL Education will assess on completion of each unit and internally quality assure (IQA) the overall work. After the IQA has marked it satisfactory, our VTCT EQA will assess the IQA’s observations.

No kit is provided with this course. However, you will require a laptop or IPad to complete the coursework for this course.

You must be age 18 and above, hold an NVQ Level 3, and have completed a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in your chosen discipline.
